Loging Electronics

Loging Electronics is the biggest retail store for electronic components, measurement equipment, and multimedia devices in my country. It's website is complex with thousands of products, each of them containing their own attributes, images, similar products and more.

This requires a well optimized database for everything to function fast and smooth. While this web site is not created by me, I stepped in when it required the needed database optimizations in order for the site to run smoothly.

Furthermore, I implemented a secondary database, which is a NoSQL database using Apache's Solr, in order to speed up and improve the product search which was barely working.

On top of that, using Solr, I added faceting of the attributes that the products had, resulting in wonderful filters that the user can choose from for further narrowing down the search of their products.

Currently, I am working on a whole new front-end project in Angular, to finally bring Loging Electronics into the modern responsive web world.
